JP university is the member of the Association of Indian Universities. The university names come after the honorable freedom fighter Loknayak Jai Prakash Narayan. All the degree courses are affiliated by the University grant Comission.

The university offers the 2 year and 3 year and 4 year degree program for the students. The main departments are arts, commerce, science, engineering, research, management, diploma and so on. The degree courses are B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., BBA, M.A., M.Sc, M.Tech, MBA and many more. There are some diploma courses are LLB, M.Phil, Ph.D etc.
