The Tamil University is a very well reputed University in all over India; basically the University is located in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India. It is a State University in Tamil Nadu. The University was established in the year 1981 through by the Government of Tamil Nadu for providing higher education for the students. The University main motive is providing the higher research in the Tamil language.

The University has also started its distance learning education institute. There are a lot of colleges are affiliated with this University. The University provides higher education in various disciplines of Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree / diploma courses. The examination procedure is very easy for everyone. The exams are done in the semester format. The exams are held in six months for every degree course. Some degree courses are completed in 3 years and some are completed in 2 years. The result will be declared after the six months of exams conducted.
